The Acrotec Group names Elisabeth Saulcy site manager for both STS Meyrin and STS La Chaux de Fonds

Meyrin (Geneva), October 2018 – The Acrotec Group is pleased to announce the nomination of Elisabeth Saulcy as Director of the Industrial Headquarters of the STS companies in Meyrin and La Chaux-de-Fonds. Already Director of La Chaux-de-Fonds site since January 2017, Elisabeth Saulcy took over her new position in Meyrin on the 12th June 2018.

STS was established in Meyrin last February to be in closer proximity to the well-known watch making brands in the canton of Geneva.

” Elizabeth Saulcy’s experience of directing both STS sites will be a huge advantage for the Acrotec Group in the pursuit of the growth and development of their activities in Switzerland”, declared François Billig, President of Acrotec. “Elizabeth has worked in close collaboration with Frédéric Saulcy, General Director of STS, and we look forward to counting on her leadership talents in developing our activities and maintaining a reliable, sustainable industrial culture”.

Elizabeth Saulcy joined STS at La Chaux-de-Fonds site after seven years as Industrial Assistant Director for Audemars Piguet in Brassus. She holds a senior technician’s degree (BTS) in small and medium business management. As part of her duties, she will expand the growth of the company and optimise the programmes for industrial management. Today STS Meyrin has eight employees, of whom, seven are female. Electroplater technicians and trial operators are most in demand for these jobs. The speciality of STS Meyrin is rhodium coating for external watch components, which has been designed exclusively within the company for high-end watch making brands.

This treatment, less prone to scratching, is designed for external watch components made of grey gold. It was developed by the STS research laboratory in Le Sentier in 2017.

“For STS, being part of the Acrotec Group is a huge advantage. I am very comfortable with the entire managing team. After establishing ourselves in La Vallée-de-Joux, La Chaux-de-Fonds and in Develier, the only principle watch making capital that we were not yet located in was Geneva”. declared Elisabeth Saulcy. The new Meyrin site focuses principally on high end watch making and jewellery making, in addition to writing instruments.
